About me
Emily is the Director of Defined Contribution Services at Martin, Martin, Randall & Associates, Inc. With over 10 years of experience, Emily is well versed in ERISA and DC Support.
I consult on Retirement Plan Designs and Defined Contribution Administration.
Emily started her career with MMR in 2013 in the DC support position and fell in love with the ERISA world. From there, Emily gained her designations and knowledge in the industry and moved to her role as Director by 2015. Emily’s role as Director of Defined Contribution services has many different roles including oversight of the entire Defined Contribution Team, working with the Document and Defined Benefit Department, maintaining relationships with Financial Partners, reviewing plan qualification and compliance, as well as plan design on new and existing plans.
As an avid ERISA geek, Emily’s core strength is in plan design, consultation on reviewing current plans to make sure they are meeting the needs and goals of the Plan Sponsor, and “fixing” out of compliance plans that have been neglected by their previous practitioners. Emily’s main goal is to ensure that our clients are benefiting as much as possible from their sponsored retirement plans while still staying in compliance and that they understand the specifications and choices behind their plan design, as well as tget to know her clients on a more personal level.

Fun Facts to Know and Tell
Emily is very involved in the ERISA industry; she is both a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) as well as the National Institue of Pension Administrators (NIPA). Emily is a published author in the Journal of Pension Benefits as well as Plan Consultant Magazine and serves on the Women in Retirment Conference Committee and the Plan Consultant Magazine Committee through the American Retirement Association. She is also a former committee member of the NIPA Continuing Education and 401(k) TV Committees. Emily is also a past and present presenter at the NIPA Annual Forum and Expo Conference sharing her expertise with fellow industry peers. You can also find Emily on stage at the ASPPA Annual Conference with fellow ERISA leaders sharing knowledge and expertise to fellow peers in the industry.
Emily is happily married to her husband, John, and they share three wild and wonderful boys, Grayson, Boone, and John Alan. She is actively involved in her church and loves to paint/draw and travel with her family when not solving ERISA blunders.
